Located in Bredbury, Stockport, this project involved the conversion of a disused commercial building, previously used by fridge repair engineers, into a 14 bed HMO residential scheme.
 

MAP Building Contractors were appointed by Parkhurst Properties to deliver the full conversion works, transforming the existing commercial premises into a high-quality residential accommodation scheme. The project required a coordinated approach across structural works, building fabric upgrades, services, internal construction and final fit-out.
 

The scheme involved major structural alterations to adapt the existing building for its new residential use. Works also included floor upgrades, roof repairs and the extension of the accommodation into an existing outhouse, helping to maximise the available space within the site.
 

As part of the conversion, MAP carried out utility connection upgrades to support the new residential layout and increased service demands. Internally, the works included MF ceilings, metal stud partitions, drylining, mechanical and electrical installations, kitchens, bathrooms and full decoration throughout.
 

Externally, the building was upgraded with new render works, improving the appearance of the property and giving the completed scheme a clean, modern finish.

The completed project created a 14 bed HMO from a previously unused commercial building, bringing the property back into productive use and delivering a strong residential asset for the client.
