MAP Building Contractors acted as principal contractor on this complex redevelopment project at North Place, Stockport, delivering a full commercial to residential conversion alongside a rooftop extension to create a high-quality 5-bedroom HMO.
 

The scheme involved the transformation of existing commercial office space into four self-contained apartments, complemented by a newly constructed steel frame rooftop extension with a timber infill structure, forming an additional 5-bed HMO unit.

This required extensive structural alterations to the existing building, carefully managed to ensure structural integrity while maximising the development potential of the site.
 

Externally, the project features Colourcoat cladding and high-performance aluminium window systems, providing a modern, durable finish in keeping with contemporary residential standards.
 

Internally, MAP delivered a full fit-out across all units, including kitchens, bathrooms, finishes, and all associated joinery and M&E installations. The works also included significant upgrades to mains services and infrastructure, ensuring the development meets current building regulations and performance requirements.
